What to Eat and Where – Arches & Canyonlands
While Moab is best known for its natural beauty and endless outdoor adventures, the food scene punches way above its small-town weight class. While not a complete list, this foodie’s guide to Moab details some of the best meals we’ve tried.
Pre-Adventure
Moab Coffee Roasters
Open Daily 7AM-7PM
90 North Main St.

We kept coming back here for iced coffee, iced chai and ice cream. All their offerings are solid. Open early, it’s a great place to get started and they’ve got a shady patio where you can park it when temps rise.
Love Muffin Cafe
Open Daily 6:30AM-1PM
139 North Main St.

Stop here for tasty and high-value adventure fuel and get the Sunrise Paninis. Both the Sausage (w/eggs, apricot aji armarillo jam, jack cheese and onion) and the Bacon (w/eggs, gouda, zaalouk spread) breakfast sammies are outstanding. Served on biscuit-like, house-made ciabatta, each is only $9.50. Decadent but stopping short of regret.
Moab Garage Co
Open Thurs. to Mon. 8AM-3PM
78 North Main St.

We had a couple sit-down breakfasts here and will always come back for the breakfast Garage Burrito, croque madam, and biscuits and gravy. Fun atmosphere, super nice staff and everything looked delicious. Food quality rivals any trendy brunch spot and two people can get in and out of here for under $25.
Doughbird
Open Thurs. to Sun. 7AM-2PM
125 North Main Street

If you’re a donut lover, this might be your favorite spot in Moab. They open early and have a ton of delicious offerings including unusual flavors (Key Lime Poppyseed?!) and cronuts. If you can hold off until 11AM, they also serve an incredible fried chicken sandwich. Stuffed between two plain donut halves and served with pickles, red cabbage slaw, low to medium heat house sauce and waffle fries. If you’re planning on any physical activity to follow, we recommend 1 sandwich per 2 people with a flavored donut for dessert. Large donuts were $4.50 and under; Chicken Sandwich $14.
Post-Aventure
98 Center Moab
Open Thurs. to Mon. 12PM-9PM
98 East Center Street

You’ll know you’re in the right place when you smell pure deliciousness wafting from around the corner. Definitely try the Banh Mi – it’s an elevated version of the classic Vietnamese sandwich with all the right flavors. We also had their special Black & Blue Wagyu Steak sandwich which was fab. N/A in our case, but they have many vegetarian and vegan offerings. Hip atmosphere and the trendiest cocktail bar in town. We drank and fed 2 for ~ $50.
Moab Canyon Pizza Co.
Open Mon. to Sat. 11AM-9PM
500 South Main St.

Great and reasonably priced comfort food stop. Their pizza has a fluffy crust, lots of toppings styles. Pro Tip: you can do 1/2 and 1/2 with their signature pizzas.
Moab Food Truck Park
Open Mon. to Thurs. 12PM-7PM, Fri. & Sat. 11AM-10PM
39 West 100 North

Very cool no matter the size of your party, but an especially good place for a crowd. Trendy food offerings for just about every palate and plenty of outdoor seating.
Note: This foodie’s guide to Moab reflects our tendency to favor foods that are more impractical to make ourselves and/or are difficult to find on the road. We’re price conscious but focused on value.
